If you didn’t see your question, you can contact our call centre on 131 546, from 8am-8pm, 7 days a week or send a message via our enquiry form.
Here are our standard jumping hours hiring times:
- Morning session from 9am to 1pm (recommended due to ideal weather conditions)
- Afternoon session from 2pm to 6pm
For all other times and overnight hire, prices can vary, so please contact us on 131 546 for a quote.
Overnight hire is possible, but extra precaution is required as often dew will settle on the castle overnight. It is more expensive than a daytime hire because the castle must be inflated and dried out the next day. You can hire a jumping castle overnight, provided that the following conditions are met:
- The yard in which it is placed must be secured. (e.g. fenced)
- There cannot be any loose animals in the yard overnight
- The unit must be switched off once everyone has finished playing
- Customers must make sure there is sufficient light for safe bouncing
- We require a $200 bond to ensure the castle is as clean as when it was setup
Yes, deposits are taken on the confirmation of the booking. Typically, this is $100 and can be made via a bank transfer or credit card payment over the phone.
In some instances like an overnight hire or a water castle hire, a $100-$200 bond also be required. Bonds can also be applied to other party hire equipment hired and prices will vary depending on the item.
If you want to find out more about deposits and bonds, check with your local Jim’s Jumping Castle and Party Hire operator Sydney at the time of your enquiry.
We understand that sometimes life with throw you some unexpected hurdles and you will need to cancel a booking. Please advise your local Jim’s operator Sydney as soon as possible when this occurs.

For bookings within two weeks of the agreed date, then the deposit may not be refunded.

Sometimes, despite everyone’s best intentions, we may not be able to set up your jumping castle on the day of your booking if the site requirements are not met. If you are unsure of the site requirements, they are outlined on our website under each item, as well as your confirmation email. Your local Jim’s operator Sydney will be more than happy to come over to assess site suitability if you’re still not sure.
Please ensure that you take measurements accurately and carefully as we will still charge the full hire amount if we have to cancel the hire for the following reasons:
- Inadequate access to the site or space
- Unsuitable surface
- The surface is not flat, for example sloped or uneven
- Inadequate overhead clearance
- The castle is unable to be tied down to the ground by pegs or weights
No, there is usually no need because we are confident that you’ll be able to supervise the jumping castle yourself once we’ve taken you through the safety information on the day.
If you do require a staff member from Jim’s to be present, we are more than happy to help. This will incur an extra charge, so please let us know what you need when you make your booking.
The amount of space needed and its accessibility generally depends on the size of the jumping castle.
- For small castles, we require a 5 square metre space
- Larger castles need 7 by 10 metres, vehicle access within 10 metres to the jumping castle site
- For larger castles where the site is more difficult to access, your local Jim’s operator may need to visit the site first. There may be an additional fee for this service
- An access area with a 1.5 metre width is needed from our trailer to the site
- Please advise us if you have stairs or if the site is difficult to access
It usually takes 20 to 40 minutes to finish a setup. Laying out the castle takes the longest and castles normally take a few minutes to fully inflate. Packing up can require more time as the air castle needs to be completely deflated.
Bear in mind that poorly accessible sites can take longer to setup and pack up.
Jumping Castles can be set up on any reasonably flat surface. If you have concrete or pavers, the castles will need to be weighted down as pegs cannot be used. This may require an additional charge so please let your operator know what you need at the time of your quote or booking.

- A friend’s backyard
- Local community centre
- Church
- School
- Public park

Jim’s jumping castles are amongst the safest in the industry.
You castle is thoroughly inspected, cleaned and disinfected with an antibacterial solution before and after each use. This means that each castle is cleaned twice before each hire.
Each castle undergoes a regular inspection by our Regional Manager, and we regularly replace any faulty or worn castles.
Yes, it is a requirement that a parent or responsible person over 18 years of age supervises the jumping castle at all times during the party.
We will provide training in the safe operation and supervision of the jumping castle or hire equipment on the day prior to the event.
For hires in a public place or for corporate/commercial events, we will provide a trained supervisor.
You’ll need to provide written approval or permission from local government authority to your local Jim’s operator to review.
This approval may include special conditions that your Jim’s operator must comply with in order to have your jumping castle up and running on the day.
The local government authority may also charge you a small fee for the use of their park or facility. In some cases, they may even need to escort our jumping castle vehicle into the park.
We suggest contacting them as soon as possible to find out what is involved in using your local park or public space.
All Jim’s Group operators are required to carry the necessary insurance to protect themselves and their clients. This is audited regularly and if an operator’s insurance policy is changed or terminated, then Jim’s Group is notified immediately.
You can ask for a copy of the certificate of currency from your local operator.
Your Jim’s Jumping Castles and Party Hire Operator is responsible for ensuring the castle is safe and fit for use, as well as the set up.
They will provide safety instructions to your designated castle supervisor, who is then responsible from that point onwards for ensuring that the castle is used safely during your party.
As you’d expect with any outdoor activity, Jumping Castle hire can be affected by predicted bad weather conditions.
When severe weather is forecast, the booking will need to be cancelled for safety reasons and a full refund is given in most instances. Your local Jim’s Jumping Castle Sydney operator will usually advise you the day before the booking if the booking will need to be cancelled or changed.
If the client still wishes to proceed with the hire, we are unable to provide a refund if the equipment does not end up being used.
Our castles are fitted with roofs to keep the sun off and will withstand light rain. However, Mother Nature can sometimes wreak havoc at the best of times.
When heavy rain or high winds (above 40km/hour) are forecast, we reserve the right to cancel the jumping castle hire.
As a general rule of thumb, wind speed picks up in the afternoon, so morning bookings can often proceed before the wind picks up.
If the booking is cancelled adverse weather conditions, you have the option to reschedule your booking. Our operators will do our best to accommodate your new date and time.
A 240 volt (normal domestic type) power point should be between 25-50 metres of the jumping castle.
The power point should be on its own circuit, not with any other high amp drawing electrical devices.
If this is not available, the jumping castle hire will require a petrol blower or generator and there will be an additional cost.
For safety reasons, we provide all of our own power cords. We can only use power cords which are checked, tested and tagged regularly by Jim’s Jumping Castle & Party Hire.
If a cord becomes frayed or damaged during the hire, you must stop using it immediately and contact your local provider.
All bookings are subject to terms and conditions. Your local provider will provide you with a copy of these when you are making a booking. Please read through these thoroughly and send back a signed copy to your local operator, who will then confirm your booking once they’ve received the deposit.
